CVD-111 Security sensor


Security detector CVD-111 (hereinafter referred to as the detector) is designed to create an alarm line on metal fences in order to detect intruders impacting on it, when trying to overcome.

Scope of Security Detector CVD-111 delivery: 

  • Security detector processing unit – 1 pc.;
  • Cable sensitive element set for detectors CVD-111, CVD-112* (hereinafter referred to as CSE set) – 1 set.
  • Cable sensitive element half-set for detectors CVD-111, CVD-112* (hereinafter referred to as CSE half-set) – 1 set.
  • * Type (set/half-set) is defined by purchase order.


The detector’s operating principle is triboelectric (conversion of the mechanical fencing vibrations that occurs, when the intruder overcomes it). The detector has separate channels for connecting HF and LF triboelectric cables providing for issuing the alarm signal, when vibration or partial destruction of the fence is detected.

Structurally, the detector is a security detector processing unit, which cable sensitive elements are connected to (from CSE set or half-set).

Four sections of a special cable are used in the detector as a CSE to convert mechanical vibrations of the mesh-wire fence into electrical signals based on the contact electrification effect (triboelectric effect). Each CSE is an extended cylindrical capacitor, between two plates of which electric charge generates, when it vibrates or deforms.

When the intruder overcomes the fencing system by climbing over or cutting it, CSE generates electrical signals entering the processing unit, where signals are processed according to a specific algorithm, and the alarm is generated and issued.

The detector has the intelligent adaptive signal processing algorithm to reduce the number of false alarms, including when environmental conditions change. The detector provides protection against climbing over, digging and cutting of metal fences.

The detector has an option of self-monitoring and performance diagnostics.

It is recommended to use CVD-4920 tuning cord (it is not included in the delivery set and is purchased at an additional cost) to configure the detector. It is also possible to configure the detector via RS-485 interface using RS-485-USB adapter.

For mounting the cable sensitive element to the mesh-wire fencing, there are additional sets of mounting parts KMCh-SP and KMCh-SK. Number of plates in KMCh-SP sets of mounting parts – 1,000 pcs., in KMCh-SK – 2,000 pcs.


Scope of Application

Security detector CVD-111 is used as a part of integrated facility security systems together with detecting means of other operating principles, and also can be used as independent facility security equipment.
