Engineers from Stilsoft GC are finishing the development of a new CVD-182A switch, which is intended to connect IP-video cameras via Ethernet network, located at a distance of up to 100 m from crosspoint switch.

The switch is applied to connect remoted network equipment, which is used to connect 100 Base-TX interface via UTP Cat5 (5e) as well as provide power supply via Active PoE. CVD-182A doesn’t need additional power source because it consumes Active PoE power from Ethernet-cable.

The switch’s key feature is an opportunity of series connection, i.e. the increasing of length of Ethernet line is more than 200 m (max. length of Ethernet line depends on used cable as well as electrical power of connected equipment).

Structurally, the switch is designed in sealed plastic housing, provides IP65 protection in accordance to GOST 14254-96, it is made of stainless, acid and alkali resistance materials.

CVD-182A switch is going to be a perfect choice in cases, when the length of line exceeds the maximum recommended length of physical segment of 100 m.
